Meals on Wheels makes special delivery to Pacific Beach veteran

On Friday, Nov. 11, Meals on Wheels San Diego County made a special Veterans Day delivery to honor 101-year-old WWII veteran and Pacific Beach resident Barbara Bartosik (above right). She is the first female military veteran the nonprofit has honored in recent years for Veterans Day.
In addition to receiving meals herself, she also receives Ani-Meals through Meals on Wheels San Diego County for her cat companion. Brent Wakefield (left), president and CEO of Meals on Wheels San Diego County, delivered her meals and a gift to Bartosik to thank her for her service.
